Nahas helikopter FDS: Sarawak serah siasatan kepada CAAM
Kerajaan Sarawak menyerahkan siasatan nahas helikopter Perkhidmatan Doktor Udara (FDS) berhampiran Long Lellang, Ulu Baram kepada Pihak Berkuasa Penerbangan Awam Malaysia (CAAM). Menteri Pengangkutan Sarawak Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin berkata punca kejadian perlu diserahkan kepada pihak berkuasa dan orang ramai tidak wajar membuat andaian. Operasi di Lapangan Terbang Long Lellang masih menunggu pengesahan Malaysia Airports dan CAAM sebelum dibuka semula.

Proses bedah siasat terhadap lima mangsa nahas helikopter BO-105 yang terhempas berhampiran Lapangan Terbang STOLport Long Lellang, Ulu Baram, Sarawak, telah selesai di Jabatan Forensik Hospital Miri. Punca kematian kesemua mangsa ialah kecederaan melecur teruk. Jasad mangsa belum diserahkan kepada keluarga kerana menunggu keputusan ujian DNA.

AAIB mula siasat nahas helikopter Long Lellang, lima maut
Biro Siasatan Kemalangan Udara (AAIB) telah memulakan siasatan terhadap punca nahas helikopter Perkhidmatan Doktor Terbang (FDS) di Long Lellang, Sarawak yang mengorbankan lima orang pada 8 September 2026. Timbalan Menteri Pengangkutan Datuk Hasbi Habibollah berkata pasukan siasatan sudah berada di lokasi kejadian dan laporan dijangka siap tidak lama lagi. Helikopter BO-105 milik Layang-Layang Aerospace Sdn Bhd itu terhempas berhampiran lapangan terbang STOL Long Lellang di Ulu Baram ketika menjalankan misi FDS.

Five people died when a Flying Doctor Service helicopter crashed near Long Lellang, Ulu Baram, Sarawak, on Sept 8. The victims were pilot Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30, medical officer Dr Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin, 33, assistant medical officer Alexson Adit Henry, 31, and staff nurses Debra Moset, 40, and Jessie Paya Jok, 44. Tributes have poured in from the pilot's widow and from villagers in Kapit, Limbang and Miri divisions who remembered the crew's outreach trips.

PERKESO benefits for dependants of two Long Lellang crash victims
Two of the five people killed in Tuesday's helicopter crash at Long Lellang, Miri, Sarawak were PERKESO contributors, so their dependants qualify for monthly benefits. The pilot's family is eligible for RM5,355 a month and the medical officer's husband for a RM1,574.10 monthly pension, the Human Resource Ministry said. The other three victims' records did not meet the eligibility requirements.

Menteri Kesihatan Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad berkata keputusan itu membalikkan pendirian kementerian sehari sebelumnya, dan perkhidmatan Medevac akan diteruskan dengan kerjasama Bomba serta kemungkinan penggunaan aset tentera. Siasatan punca nahas masih dijalankan oleh Biro Siasatan Kemalangan Udara.
