Four children who drowned in Kulim buried in a single grave
Four children who drowned after falling into a drain at Taman Desa Kayangan, Sungai Karangan, Kulim, were buried in one grave at the Masjid Jamek Nurul Ehsan Islamic cemetery today. Two died at the scene and two on the way to Kulim Hospital.

Residents of 1Razak Mansion in Salak South, Kuala Lumpur have spent eight months turning a 560-square-foot abandoned plot behind Block B into a 'Food Forest' of more than 80 plant, vegetable and herb species. The project, involving 60 residents and led by social entrepreneur Dr Billy Tang, has become a gathering spot for gardening, cooking and neighbourly contact, and also supports recycling, composting and rehabilitation of Sungai Kerayong.

1,600 join Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 at Balai Berita Bangsar
About 1,600 participants took part in the Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 organised by Kelab Media Prima at Balai Berita Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, today. The 3.5km and 5.5km runs drew participants of all ages including people with disabilities, and were attended by Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil and Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari. Adam Naufal Amril, 15, of SMK Manjalara, Kepong, was the first to cross the finish line in the 5.5km category with a time of 20 minutes.

About 1,500 people took part in the Larian Merdeka Oxyenergy Media Prima 2026 in Bangsar, including Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil and Youth and Sports Minister Mohammed Taufiq Johari. Fahmi said the run brought leaders closer to the Lembah Pantai community and promoted a healthy lifestyle, and hoped more corporations would back similar programmes.
