CIS says Sabah cement supply to fully recover by mid-September after plant repairs
Cement Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd says the cement supply disruption in Sabah will be fully resolved by mid-September. The shortage was caused by repair and maintenance works at its plant in Teluk Sepangar, near Kota Kinabalu, which have now been completed. The company is ramping up production and sourcing more raw materials to meet demand.

Three injured in early morning collision in Inanam
Three men were injured when a Perodua Myvi and a Toyota Hilux collided at Lorong Iramanis Centre, Kolombong, Inanam, early Saturday. Firefighters from the Lintas station extricated the men, who were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital II for treatment. The driver of the Hilux was unhurt.

Man fined RM2,000 for not carrying IC during police check in Manggatal
A 41-year-old man was fined RM2,000 by the Magistrate's Court in Kota Kinabalu for failing to produce his identity card during a police inspection in Manggatal town on Aug 18. In a separate case, an undocumented man was jailed three months for possessing tools without a reasonable explanation.

US Navy captain praises Sabah community after school renovation project
