Pembinaan Tetap Teguh Sdn Bhd, a unit of PTT Synergy Group Bhd, has secured an RM83.26 million contract from Sime Darby Property for earthworks and related tasks in Phase 1 of Bandar Bukit Raja Stage 4 in Klang, Selangor. The contract runs from September 2026 to March 2028.

GOF seizes RM1.9mil in smuggled cigarettes in Klang raid
The General Operations Force seized over RM1.9 million worth of smuggled cigarettes in a raid on a premises in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, on Tuesday. A 52-year-old man suspected of being the courier was arrested, and 4,920 cartons of untaxed cigarettes plus a Nissan Almera were seized. The case is being investigated under the Customs Act 1967 and the suspect and goods were taken to the Klang Utara district police headquarters.

Classroom at SK Setia Alam destroyed in fire
A classroom at Sekolah Kebangsaan Setia Alam on Persiaran Setia Prima in Shah Alam caught fire this afternoon. Firefighters received the emergency call at 4.20pm and found the classroom 100 per cent burnt, though the flames were out before the Bukit Jelutong fire station crew arrived. No injuries were reported and investigators are looking into the cause.

Seven anglers missing near Pulau Ketam, Malaysia Maritime launches search
Seven anglers including a boat skipper were reported missing after leaving Jeti Sementa in Klang early yesterday morning. Malaysia Maritime Selangor activated a search and rescue operation with police and fire department assistance to look for them in the waters of One Fathom Bank near Pulau Ketam.

22nd Japanese Film Festival screens 14 films across five cities
The 22nd Japanese Film Festival began on 8 September in the Klang Valley before travelling to George Town, Johor Bahru, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu until 18 October. Fourteen Japanese films are being shown, including a retrospective of director Yamada Yoji and a Girl Power programme, with special Kokuho screenings at GSC Mid Valley and GSC MyTOWN.

146 held, 50 motorcycles seized in Bukit Raja toll plaza road bully op
Selangor police detained 146 people aged 16 to 25 and seized 50 motorcycles in an integrated operation against road bullies at the Bukit Raja Toll Plaza on the NKVE early Saturday. Man who robbed RM150,000 in gold in Klang arrested in Brickfields
A 28-year-old gold bar courier was robbed at a homestay in Taman Sri Andalas, Klang, on Tuesday night when the suspect fled through the back door with 70 pieces of gold worth RM150,000. Police arrested a 57-year-old man at a hotel in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, less than 24 hours later and recovered all the gold. The suspect, who has seven previous criminal records, is remanded for four days and investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code.

Selangor: 70% of investor issues resolved, Mondelez opens RM90m Shah Alam crumb tower
Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said Invest Selangor has resolved 74 of about 138 investment-related issues as of July, with over 60 site visits this year, giving a success rate of around 70%. He spoke in Shah Alam after launching Mondelez International's RM90 million Crumb Tower at its Cadbury Confectionery Malaysia plant, which will allow local chocolate crumb production instead of imports from South Africa and Australia.

365 foreigners charged this year for MyKad, birth certificate misuse

Police link July i-City kidnap 'victim' to drug boss slain in Seremban
Police believe a man rescued from a kidnapping in i-City, Shah Alam in July is linked to the head of a drug syndicate who was shot dead in Seremban. The rescued man is being detained for 60 days under the Dangerous Drugs (Special Preventive Measures) Act 1985 as investigations continue.

Customs Seize Smuggled Cigarettes, Liquor Worth RM1.95 Million in Klang Valley
The Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) Kuala Lumpur seized untaxed white cigarettes and liquor worth RM1.95 million through two special operations around the Klang Valley.
