Johor installs 3,833 solar-powered village street lights in six districts
The Johor state government will install 3,833 solar-powered village street lights across six districts in phases from September to November. The RM10 million project covers Segamat, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Tangkak and Muar, with an additional 500 units funded by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development. State committee chairman Md Israk Abdullah inspected the first phase at Kampung Mensudut Lama and Kampung Gelang Chinchin in Segamat.

26 litterers, 14 of them foreigners, ordered to clean Johor public spaces
Twenty-six people convicted of littering, 25 of them for cigarette butts, were ordered to perform community service at five locations across Johor. SWCorp said 3,095 littering notices have been issued in the state since Aug 1, with 107 cases concluded in court and RM71,550 in fines.
