KL police propose KK Mart stores as GTSP safety points
Kuala Lumpur police are proposing to turn about 700 KK Mart outlets in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor into Go-To-Safety-Points where the public can seek emergency help. Police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the partnership would include joint patrols and possibly access to the chain's central CCTV feed. The proposal was announced at the opening of a KK Mart branch at the Kuala Lumpur contingent police headquarters.

MIAPEX 2026 in Seri Kembangan targets RM12 million in sales
The Malaysia International Automotive & Parts Expo (MIAPEX) 2026 will run from 23 to 25 October at MIECC, The Mines, Seri Kembangan, Selangor. Organisers are targeting over 22,000 visitors and more than RM12 million in sales through B2B and B2C platforms, with about 350 exhibitors from Malaysia and abroad.

UM to launch 121st anniversary celebration on Sept 19
Universiti Malaya will launch its 121st anniversary celebration (UM121) on 19 September 2026 at its campus. The launch will be officiated by Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah, who is also UM Chancellor, and features the first Royal Brisk Walk with over 2,000 UM members. A series of UM121 programmes runs until December 2026.

Box with toy blocks destroyed by bomb squad in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling
A suspicious plastic box found in front of a shoplot in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, was destroyed by a police bomb disposal unit on Monday afternoon. Initial checks showed a high radiation reading, prompting the deployment of the Bomb Disposal Unit and the Bukit Aman CBRNE unit, but the Malaysian Nuclear Agency later confirmed no radioactivity. Mida: data centre growth must build local supply chain value
