Singapore, Thailand agree to develop multi-year ASEAN agenda at leaders' retreat
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and his Thai counterpart Anutin Charnvirakul met in Bangkok for the Singapore-Thailand Leaders' Retreat, the first since 2015. They agreed to develop a multi-year agenda for ASEAN as Singapore prepares to chair the group in 2027, followed by Thailand in 2028. The leaders also welcomed progress on the ASEAN Power Grid, including a project enabling Singapore to import hydropower from Laos.
