Hassan Adli: Dakwah approach must change with the times, TikTok a medium
Former Imam Muda participant Hassan Adli says religious outreach needs to be more creative as TV religious programmes no longer draw the audiences they once did. He says TikTok can be used for dakwah, but giving gifts to bad content encourages sin. He spoke after an MoU signing between Palladium Trustee Berhad and Smartwills Wasiatku in Petaling Jaya.

16th Harmony Sports at Our Tampines Hub draws 500 participants
Singapore's Islamic Religious Council (MUIS) and the Taoist Federation of Singapore held the 16th Harmony Sports event at Our Tampines Hub on 13 September, drawing about 500 participants. Themed 'United in Motion', it featured badminton, basketball, esports, taiji and brisk walking to build cross-religious understanding. Minister for Culture, Community and Youth David Neo officiated the brisk walk.

Madurai Meenakshi temple kumbabishekam: 6,000 police for security
The kumbabishekam of the Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple in Madurai is scheduled for September 17 between 7.40am and 8.10am. Lakhs of devotees are expected for the ritual, held after 17 years. Some 6,000 police will be deployed and 1,000 special buses run across the city.

600 kg of Quran ash released into sea off Langkawi
A total of 600 kilograms of ash from Quranic texts and materials was released into the sea near Telaga Harbour Park, Langkawi. The program, organized by Masjid Al-Falah Kampung Padang Kandang, aims to dispose of old or damaged Quran manuscripts in a proper manner according to Islamic law. The ashes were released about 15 nautical miles from the coast with the assistance of a Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency patrol boat.
