Box with toy blocks destroyed by bomb squad in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling
A suspicious plastic box found in front of a shoplot in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, was destroyed by a police bomb disposal unit on Monday afternoon. Initial checks showed a high radiation reading, prompting the deployment of the Bomb Disposal Unit and the Bukit Aman CBRNE unit, but the Malaysian Nuclear Agency later confirmed no radioactivity. About 1,600 participants took part in the Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 organised by Kelab Media Prima at Balai Berita Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, today.
