F1 Bahrain GP preparations at Sepang 80 pct complete, says minister
Preparations for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit are 80 per cent complete, Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari said in Putrajaya. Upgrading works at SIC began on Sept 7 and 500 volunteers have been identified for training. Malaysia will host the race from Oct 2-4, bringing F1 back after nine years.

Selangor police seize RM31.53m in drugs, arrest 14
Selangor police broke up six drug syndicates in seven raids across KLIA, Segambut, Kajang and Sepang between 19 and 26 August. The RM31.53 million haul included 135.4 kg of cannabis buds and 117.54 kg of MDMA, with 14 people arrested.

Kedah Immigration deports, blacklists 140 undocumented migrants
Kedah's Immigration Department sent home 140 undocumented migrants held at the Belantik Immigration Depot in Sik, flying them out via KLIA yesterday. The group of Myanmar, Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Indonesian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Kenyan nationals was also blacklisted from re-entering the country.

Motorcyclist dies in crash on Cyberjaya-Putrajaya road
A motorcyclist died and a pillion rider was injured after their bike skidded and hit a road barrier at KM 47.1 of the Cyberjaya-Putrajaya road this morning. Sepang district police received a report at 7.32 am and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Selangor to reject data centre projects lacking water, power supply
