A crash involving two lorries at Sungai Sok in Kuala Krai, Kelantan today killed a 29-year-old man and injured two others. The Kuala Krai fire station chief said the call came in at 2.02pm and the team reached the scene 27 minutes later. All three men were trapped in the lorry before being taken to Kuala Krai Hospital.

Villagers began a search and rescue operation last night, and it resumed this morning with help from security forces. Elderly man, 66, killed by elephant while searching for cow in Kuala Krai
A 66-year-old man died after being attacked by an elephant while searching for his missing cow at Ladang Lepan Kabu, Kuala Krai, yesterday afternoon. The victim, Ghazali Setapa, is believed to have been trampled after getting too close to the animal. His body was taken to the Forensic Unit of Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital for a post-mortem.
