    The Kuala Lumpur Magistrate's Court was told the chemical report in the case of military officer Captain Jad Faid Arhan, accused of murdering Bangladeshi influencer Muzahid Millad, is not yet ready. The court set Oct 13 for the report and additional documents for two drink-driving charges. The alleged incident occurred at KM 1.9 of the Maju Expressway (MEX) on April 23.

    A contract worker pleaded guilty at the Kangar Magistrate's Court to robbing and injuring an elderly woman while snatching a gold chain worth RM10,000 at a house in Bumbung Lima, Arau on 5 September. Wan Afandi Wan Salehudin, 26, was granted RM6,000 bail with one surety, and sentencing is set for 23 September.

  3. CAP urges MACC to probe alleged illegal dumping of construction waste in Pontian

    The Consumers' Association of Penang (CAP) has urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate alleged illegal dumping of construction waste in Pontian, Johor. The waste is said to have originated from Singapore and been dumped at non-designated sites, with residents disturbed by night-time truck convoys. CAP also called on Malaysian and Singaporean authorities to explain how the trucks passed checkpoints undetected.

  4. Man charged with murder of teen in Kulai Vellfire crash

    A 26-year-old man was charged in the Kulai Magistrate's Court with murdering a 17-year-old girl in an incident at Bulatan Persiaran Indahpura 4 on August 25. He also faces four charges of attempted murder. Four other teenagers pleaded not guilty to mischief charges related to the same incident.
