Two women electrocuted at Besut fish pond, UiTM trainee among dead
A 27-year-old UiTM student undergoing practical training and her 49-year-old employer were found unconscious and later pronounced dead at a fish pond in Pantai Air Tawar, Besut. The husband of the student discovered the two women lying on top of each other when he arrived to pick her up for lunch. Police have classified the case as a sudden death report.

RM1.2 million for five Kampung Angkat MADANI projects in Besut
The government has allocated RM1.2 million for five development projects under the Kampung Angkat MADANI Programme in Kampung Pinang, Besut, Terengganu. The projects include roads, a community centre, solar lights and upgrading works with Kolej Vokasional Besut. Deputy Economy Minister Mohd Shahar Abdullah handed over the projects today.

PGA seizes 383 logs, three machines at Besut sawmill
The Southeast Brigade of the General Operations Force raided a sawmill in Gong Tengah, Besut, Terengganu, seizing 383 logs and three band saw machines worth RM338,300. Four men aged 40 to 52 failed to produce timber tax documents, and the case is being investigated under the National Forestry Act 1984 and the Wood-Based Industries Enactment 1985.
