Haze in Malaysia expected to persist, Serian records highest API of 396
An environmental health expert says the haze in Malaysia will not clear in the near future due to dry weather and El Nino. Several areas in Sarawak recorded very unhealthy to hazardous Air Pollutant Index (API) readings, with Serian recording the highest. NADMA will conduct cloud-seeding operations in Sarawak, Kedah and Perlis from September 3 to 5.
