Malaysian anti-nuclear campaigner and ICAN founder Dr Ronald McCoy dies at 96
Dr Ronald McCoy, a Malaysian doctor and anti-nuclear campaigner who conceived the idea for the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), has died at the age of 96. His death was confirmed by his son, David McCoy. Born in Seremban in 1930, McCoy was also a founding member of Pantai Medical Centre and a former co-president of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War.
