Malaysian Dental Association seeks special 2027 budget allocation for free B40 dental care
The Malaysian Dental Association (MDA) is asking the government to allocate special funds in the 2027 Budget for free dental treatment under the PeKa B40 scheme. MDA President Dr Chong Zhen Feng said cost remains a major barrier for low-income families, and oral health should be part of overall health. The Health Ministry is reportedly reviewing a proposal to expand basic dental screening and treatment under the scheme.
