Kenanga Research sees room for PETRONAS to raise 2026 dividend to RM30b
Kenanga Research analyst Lim Sin Kiat said PETRONAS could pay a higher dividend to the government this year, potentially up to RM30 billion, due to higher fuel subsidy costs since March 2026. The current announced dividend is RM20 billion. The research firm also noted PETRONAS's first-half 2026 capital expenditure was RM41.4 billion, partly for the PRefChem acquisition.
