Ex-Sabah water director warns against sacrificing independent oversight for speed in crisis fixes

Datuk Dr Amarjit Singh, a former Sabah Water Department director, has cautioned that the urgency to fix Sabah's water problems should not compromise independent engineering judgement. He highlighted potential conflicts of interest when companies that supply water technology also propose solutions, and called for independent assessments before major project commitments.
