Apple's new CEO John Ternus takes office, Tim Cook becomes executive chairman
John Ternus has officially taken over as Apple's CEO, succeeding Tim Cook who led the company for 15 years. The transition took effect on 1 September in the US, with Ternus now leading the company and Cook moving to the board as executive chairman.
