Penang tops Malaysia with RM17.3bil manufacturing investments in first half
Penang led Malaysia in approved manufacturing investments in the first half of 2026, securing RM17.3 billion, a 38 per cent increase year-on-year. The state accounted for 34 per cent of the country's total, with foreign direct investment contributing RM12.8 billion. Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the performance reflects the strength of the state's industrial ecosystem.
