WMO warns of strong El Nino until February, extreme weather ahead
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has warned that the current El Nino could become the strongest in four decades. WMO chief Celeste Saulo said the world is in a danger zone for extreme weather, with the phenomenon expected to last until February next year. The WMO also said the effects on climate could persist into 2027.
