Befrienders urges public to talk about suicide
National Council of Befrienders Malaysia president Datuk Jessie Ting called on Malaysians to help prevent suicide by replacing stigma and silence with openness and support. Ahead of World Suicide Prevention Day on Sept 10, she stressed suicide is preventable and warned against sharing methods, locations or graphic images. Befrienders Kota Kinabalu helpline details were provided.
