Oil above US$100 lifts global yields; ringgit and fuel prices in focus
Currency markets were subdued on Thursday as Brent crude held above US$100 a barrel and global bond yields climbed, with the yen pausing after a strong rally. The European Central Bank and Bank of Japan are expected to tighten policy, while US inflation data this week will shape the Federal Reserve's next move. Higher oil and borrowing costs feed through to Malaysian fuel prices and the ringgit.
