Britain spends nearly $40m on SpaceX military satellite services
Britain has spent about £29.5 million (nearly $40 million) on SpaceX satellite services, becoming the first country outside the US to publicly confirm it uses Starshield for military communications. Its defence ministry has roughly 1,000 Starshield terminals and 500 Starlink terminals, with the shift to Starshield following SpaceX's restriction of Starlink to welfare and training use.
