Syabu makes up 70pc of drugs smuggled in via Thai border, says narcotics chief

Narcotics CID director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said about 70 per cent of drugs smuggled into Malaysia through the Thai border is syabu, followed by cannabis. He said Malaysia is a transit point and a target for syndicates wanting to set up processing hubs, with precursor chemicals brought in from countries such as China. Police will keep monitoring and shutting down drug labs.
