Kenanga keeps overweight call on plantations, CPO forecast at RM4,500

Kenanga Research has maintained its OVERWEIGHT stance on Malaysia's plantation sector, keeping its crude palm oil price forecasts at RM4,500 per tonne for 2026 and RM4,700 for 2027. It expects a strong El Nino to cut 2027 palm oil output by 3% to 5%, even as Malaysian palm oil inventories hit a 10-year high in August.
