Police bust RM2.4 billion drug lab in Selangor, five held

Police raided an industrial premises in Selangor and shut down a large-scale MDMA processing laboratory, seizing over 13 tonnes of drugs worth an estimated RM2.4 billion. Five suspects aged 29 to 43 were arrested in six raids across Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, and the syndicate is believed to have sourced precursor chemicals and machinery from China. The week's other major crimes include the shooting of a suspected syndicate mastermind in Seremban, a Malaysian woman detained in India with 15kg of ganja, and five people remanded over an abduction in Nibong Tebal, Penang.
