Sarawak plans land reclamation to expand Miri Port, says Abang Johari

The Sarawak government plans to expand Miri Port through land reclamation and engineering to overcome limited land space. Premier Abang Johari said at the opening of a PBB northern Sarawak meeting at Miri Indoor Stadium that reclamation must combine technology and hydrological studies to control silt and keep shipping channels deep. He said the expansion would boost berthing and trade and drive the regional economy.
