Deputy IGP appointment process complete, announcement soon, says home minister

Malaysia's home minister said all constitutional procedures for appointing a new deputy inspector-general of police have been completed and an official announcement will follow within hours or days. He spoke at a press conference in Kulim on Sunday. The post has been vacant since Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay retired.
