Ipoh donors with rare blood types urged to keep giving
In Ipoh, three men have discovered they carry rare blood types, including Parabombay A and an uncommon O positive phenotype. A transfusion medicine specialist says rare types occur in about one in 1,000 people and matching donors is vital, with Perak recording four Bombay and five Parabombay patients so far.
