PAS demands explanation over postponement of Najib's pardon

PAS is demanding the government explain why Datuk Seri Najib Razak's pardon application was postponed at the 63rd Pardon Board meeting last Friday. Its secretary-general, Takiyuddin Hassan, said the postponement would not have happened on its own without an instruction or objection from a board member or another interested party. The meeting for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya was chaired by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim, who also consented to the release of 65 prisoners on 11 September 2026.
