A Malaysian lawyer has expressed dismay on Facebook over the High Court's acquittal of a male student accused of murdering his 16-year-old schoolmate Yap Xin Xuan, saying the verdict sends the wrong message. He urged prosecutors to appeal immediately and offered to serve as an unpaid ad-hoc deputy public prosecutor to help the victim's parents seek justice.
