Malaysia's exports up 29.2% in Jan-July, economists see slower 2027
Malaysia's exports rose 29.2% year on year to RM1.17 trillion in the first seven months of 2026, crossing the RM1 trillion mark a month earlier than last year, on strong semiconductor and commodity demand. Economists expect the pace to moderate in 2027 on a high base effect and external risks such as US tariffs and geopolitics.
