SB Energy to raise US$500m from Japanese investors ahead of US listing
SB Energy, the SoftBank-backed data centre developer, will issue new shares worth up to US$500 million to Japanese investors as part of a planned US public listing, according to a filing. The proceeds will fund data centres, power generation and related infrastructure. Nvidia has committed US$1.5 billion in a private placement, and OpenAI holds warrants worth about US$5.5 billion.
