Awang Tengah: Sarawak projects need case-by-case federal funding
In Lawas, Sarawak, Deputy Premier Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the federal government should not apply a one-size-fits-all approach to development projects in Sarawak, citing the need for a health clinic at Samalaju Industrial Park and repairs to the Sundar clinic. He spoke at the handover of the new RM183 million, 76-bed Lawas Hospital from the Public Works Department to the Health Ministry, which Deputy Health Minister Hanifah Hajar Taib said would improve healthcare access for northern Sarawak.
