DBKL tightens outdoor space rules for restaurants and eateries

Kuala Lumpur City Hall is tightening monitoring of outdoor space use at restaurants and eateries under a revised KEJA Permit guideline. Operators must keep a 0.76 to 0.91 metre pedestrian walkway clear, and permits cost RM30 a month per set of chairs and tables. Between 3 August and 13 September, 27 permits were approved across Kuala Lumpur.
