Lorry driver held at Jitra toll plaza after testing positive for meth

A 43-year-old lorry driver carrying cement was detained at the Jitra Toll Plaza in Kedah after testing positive for methamphetamine during an integrated drug operation on commercial vehicles. He told enforcement he took drugs to stay awake on long solo trips from Perlis to Perak. Kedah RTD said six other lorry and express bus drivers have tested positive since July, and licences will be withheld or suspended.
