Mordi Bimol calls for consistent enforcement after police report lodged in Bau over Umno assembly remarks

Mas Gading MP Mordi Bimol has called for consistent enforcement of laws on religious sensitivities after a police report was lodged at Bau Police Station in Sarawak. The report, filed by DAP Tasik Biru deputy chairman Dominic Daon Nyana, concerns a sexually suggestive joke about a Catholic priest and nun made by Umno leader Datuk Noorazli Said at the 2026 Umno General Assembly. Mordi urged police to investigate fairly and said Sarawak's multi-religious harmony must be protected.
