Public Gold opens RM30m precious metals refinery in Batu Kawan
Public Gold has opened Malaysia's first international-standard precious metals refinery at Batu Kawan Industrial Park in Penang, an RM30 million facility able to refine up to 10 tonnes a year. Malaysia Gold Association president Datuk Seri Louis Ng said gold prices are expected to stay between US$4,000 and US$5,000 per troy ounce over the next one to two years. The project has created about 1,000 jobs.
