Former inmate in Batu Caves earns a living as a tailor

Mohd Khairul Azam Mohd Halim, 45, who was held at Sungai Buloh, Kajang and Jelebu prisons on a drug offence, now runs Bengkel Jahitan Manisah in Kampung Sungai Kertas, Batu Caves with his wife. He learned tailoring while serving his sentence, including a Malaysian Skills Certificate course, and now takes orders for baju kurung, kebaya, baju Melayu and uniforms.
