Pahang haze worsens, all five API stations record unhealthy readings
Hazy conditions and reduced visibility hit several areas in Pahang today, with all five API monitoring stations in the state recording unhealthy readings. Indera Mahkota in Kuantan recorded 164, the highest in Pahang since the haze began, and schools in Kuantan have suspended outdoor co-curricular activities. A state committee chairman advised residents to limit outdoor activity, avoid open burning and wear masks.

New Kuantan Port Interchange on LPT2 Opens, Cutting Travel Time by 30 Minutes
The new Kuantan Port Interchange on the East Coast Expressway Phase 2 (LPT2) opened to traffic today, providing a direct link to Federal Route FT3. Located between the Jabor and Cheneh toll plazas, the interchange is expected to cut travel time by up to 30 minutes and improve access to Kuantan Port and the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park. The official opening ceremony was held yesterday and officiated by Pahang Menteri Besar Dato' Sri Diraja Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

Niche Capital's partner gets interim licence for rare earth processing chemicals
Greensnow Biosolutions, a partner of Niche Capital Emas, received an interim manufacturing licence from MITI to produce bio-based solvents for rare earth extraction at Gebeng Industrial Estate in Kuantan, Pahang. The chemicals will support a joint rare earth project in Sungai Jeli, Kelantan, aligning with Malaysia's strategy to develop downstream processing.
