SWCorp Pahang: litterbugs offer higher fines to avoid community service
In Kuantan, SWCorp Pahang said some littering offenders tried to pay higher fines rather than carry out community service orders, including cleaning drains. A total of 3,295 notices were issued across Pahang from 1 January to 14 September, with about 200 offenders ordered to do community service in four districts.

40 Taylor's University students join community project with Semelai Orang Asli at Tasik Bera
Forty final-year Public Relations students from Taylor's University participated in a community project at Kampung Orang Asli Pos Iskandar, Tasik Bera, Pahang, together with 100 residents. The project aimed to help students engage with the Semelai community, understand their daily lives, and preserve their cultural heritage and the environment. Supervising lecturer Nurun Najah Tarmidzi said the field experience allowed students to apply their knowledge and appreciate the community's perspective.
