A 74-year-old man with dementia has been reported missing after he is believed to have left his home in Kampung Kuala Pertang, Kuala Krai, Kelantan, yesterday evening. Villagers began a search and rescue operation last night, and it resumed this morning with help from security forces. Kuala Krai district police have confirmed receiving a report on the disappearance.

PGA seizes 383 logs, three machines at Besut sawmill
The Southeast Brigade of the General Operations Force raided a sawmill in Gong Tengah, Besut, Terengganu, seizing 383 logs and three band saw machines worth RM338,300. Dr Ainul Baraah's Body Expected to Be Buried in Kelantan After Sarawak Helicopter Crash
The body of Dr Ainul Baraah Kamarudin, 33, who died in a helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Ulu Baram, Sarawak, is expected to be buried at the Sri Kedeper Islamic Cemetery in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Her father, Kamarudin Salleh, said the funeral prayer will be held at the Al Karamah Mosque in Mukim Baung Besar, Pengkalan Chepa. All five individuals on board the helicopter were confirmed dead.

Elderly man, 66, killed by elephant while searching for cow in Kuala Krai
A 66-year-old man died after being attacked by an elephant while searching for his missing cow at Ladang Lepan Kabu, Kuala Krai, yesterday afternoon. The victim, Ghazali Setapa, is believed to have been trampled after getting too close to the animal. His body was taken to the Forensic Unit of Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital for a post-mortem.

Father in Besut arrested for alleged sexual assault of two teenage daughters
