She pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 414 of the Penal Code. In a separate case, a man claimed trial for a similar offence involving stolen facial cleanser.

  2. Kota Kinabalu senior citizen faces 59 cheating charges over housing project scam

    A 65-year-old man claimed trial in the Kota Kinabalu Sessions Court to 59 charges of cheating a 50-year-old victim out of RM50 to RM20,000 for a fake housing project investment. The alleged offences occurred at bank branches in Kota Kinabalu and Penampang between 2016 and 2021. The court granted him RM30,000 bail with conditions including passport surrender.
