Jalan Syed Putra-Jalan Istana junction to close in stages from Sept 14 for NPE 2 works
A section of the Jalan Syed Putra and Jalan Istana intersection in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in stages from Sept 14, between 10pm and 5am, to allow preliminary construction for the New Pantai Expressway Extension Project (NPE 2). NPE has advised motorists to plan their journeys and follow traffic management measures, and provided an infoline for inquiries.

Parliament Open Day 2026 draws over 10,000 visitors, exposes youth to democracy
The Malaysian Parliament Open Day 2026 on 12 and 13 September in Kuala Lumpur served as a platform to bring youth closer to democratic institutions, said Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman. The project covers a residential college at the Institute of Teacher Education's Malay Language Campus in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, and is due for completion on 30 June 2028. The 22-month contract is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings.
