1. Rela member dies in three-vehicle crash on Jalan Mempaga-Sertik; three flee

   A Rela member riding a motorcycle was killed in a three-vehicle crash on Jalan Mempaga-Sertik in Bentong at about 7.30am yesterday. The three occupants of a Myvi abandoned the car and fled into a nearby oil palm plantation, and police have launched a manhunt. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Villagers began a search and rescue operation last night, and it resumed this morning with help from security forces. Kuala Krai district police have confirmed receiving a report on the disappearance.
