Guan Eng trial: MACC investigator stands by claim Zenith BUCG had edge in Penang tunnel bid
An MACC investigator told the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur that Consortium Zenith BUCG had more advantages than four other bidders for the Penang undersea tunnel and road projects. Under cross-examination in Lim Guan Eng's corruption trial, Zulhilmi Ramli disagreed with the defence that a 2011 Malaysia-China MoU did not guarantee the company the contract. The four other bidders were named in court.

BERSIH demands Najib serve remaining jail term, rejects house arrest
BERSIH is demanding that Datuk Seri Najib Razak serve the rest of his prison sentence and is opposing any move by the Pardons Board to grant the former prime minister house arrest. Penang City Council mayor Datuk Rajendran P Anthony will be called as a prosecution witness in the corruption trial of former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng. The trial at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court concerns the Penang undersea tunnel and main roads project. The 38th prosecution witness, MACC investigating officer Zulhilmi Ramli, agreed that Beijing Urban Construction Group scored highest in the project's RFP documents.

A 61-year-old businessman says he bought two four-storey shoplots at Kota Damansara Signature Park in 2010 without being told they were Bumiputera lots, and found out only when he tried to sell one. High Court sets Sept 17 for additional evidence in Rosmah's solar hybrid graft appeal
The High Court in Kuala Lumpur has fixed Sept 17 to hear additional evidence from star prosecution witness Rayyan Radzwill Abdullah in Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor's solar hybrid project graft appeal. The Court of Appeal had allowed Rosmah's application to adduce additional evidence, but the prosecution has filed a stay application and a notice of appeal to the Federal Court.

Alice Loke elevated to Court of Appeal, Elaine Yap confirmed as High Court judge
High Court judge Alice Loke Yee Ching is expected to be elevated to the Court of Appeal on Thursday, while Judicial Commissioner Elaine Yap Chin Gaik is expected to be confirmed as a High Court judge. The oath-taking and presentation of instruments of appointment are expected to take place at Istana Negara before Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar. The appointment will raise the number of Court of Appeal judges to 31 out of the constitutionally mandated 32 positions.

Azeez denies choosing to wear lock-up clothes, says it was police SOP

Selangor FC play in empty stadium due to FA ban
