Forum on planning care for neurodivergent adults as parents age
A Malaysian forum on Sept 22 will look at long-term care planning for neurodivergent adults whose ageing parents have been their main carers. The Malaysian Healthy Ageing Society and Oasis Place are organising it at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown, with talks on legal, probate and family support issues.

Private hospitals group says no tolerance for abuse of medical staff
The Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia has declared zero tolerance for verbal abuse, threats or harassment of medical staff at public and private hospitals. Its president Datuk Dr Kuljit Singh said complaints should be channelled through proper platforms, while staff must also treat patients with respect. The Hospital Staff and Patient Safety Conference at the KLGCC Convention Centre drew about 160 health experts from Malaysia and Australia.

Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) has introduced Malaysia's first computational pathology solution, using AI-assisted imaging to support HER2 breast cancer diagnostics. The initiative, with AstraZeneca Malaysia and Mindpeak HER2 AI software, keeps final diagnostic decisions with qualified pathologists.

Dr Fie urges public to appreciate Health Ministry workers
At Masjid Bandar Baru Senawang, dentist and influencer Dr Afifah Hidayah Ahmad Tawfek, known as Dr Fie, called on the public to appreciate the sacrifices of Health Ministry staff who serve far from their families, including flying by helicopter to rural areas. She also offered condolences to the families of the five victims of the Air Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Miri, Sarawak.
