Aiman retains national individual time trial title for seventh time
Muhammad Nur Aiman Rosli of Terengganu Cycling Team defended his elite men's individual time trial title at the 2026 National Road Championships in Rembau and Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. He clocked 37 minutes 35.642 seconds, beating teammate Kee Zhe Yie and Muhammad Yusri Shaari. Intan Suraya Tokiman won the elite women's event.

Lawyer: Ismail signed proclamation knowingly, without duress
A lawyer representing dismissed Undang, Tunku Besar Tampin and Dato Shahbandar claims Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim signed the proclamation to remove Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz knowingly and without coercion. He said Ismail's claim that he signed the document without consent is an afterthought. Ismail previously insisted the proclamation signed on 3 August at Istana Laguna Biru, Port Dickson was invalid and unconstitutional, and lodged a police report on 8 September 2026.

Melaka High Court upholds JPJ officer's corruption conviction over RM3,600 bribes
The Melaka High Court has upheld the conviction of former JPJ enforcement officer Rafi Abd Rahman on six corruption charges involving RM3,600 in bribes paid to a colleague. Rafi, who was a chief motor vehicle inspector at JPJ's Bukit Katil division, had his 10-month jail sentence and RM60,000 in fines affirmed after Judicial Commissioner K Raja Segaran dismissed his appeal.

Amelia Lee and Jarvis Liew Zun Xin were crowned overall champions in the girls' and boys' categories at the 100PLUS MGA NJDP 2026 Second Round at A'Famosa Golf Club, Melaka. Amelia finished three rounds on 209 strokes, seven under par, while Jarvis carded 212, four under par.

Man fined RM6,000 for farming without permit in Angsi Forest Reserve
A 61-year-old man was fined RM6,000 by the Seremban Sessions Court after pleading guilty to running farming and livestock activities without a permit in the Angsi Permanent Forest Reserve. Lee Kai Sang was accused of planting calamansi, durian and bananas and rearing stingless bees and freshwater fish in a pond at Compartment 55 of the reserve last August. Judge Shahrul Rizal Majid also ordered two months' jail if the fine is not paid.

Lorry driver fined RM30,000 for sending ex-wife's obscene videos
A lorry driver in Seremban was fined RM30,000 by the Sessions Court after pleading guilty to sending obscene photos and videos of his ex-wife to her new husband via WhatsApp. Mohd Suhaimi Yusof, 50, was fined RM6,000 for each of five charges, with two months' jail for each charge if he fails to pay. The offences were committed on 22 March 2023 at a premises in Mantin.

Indian national fined RM100, given an hour of community service for littering in Taman Lavender Height
A 58-year-old Indian national was ordered to serve one hour of community service and fined RM100 by the Seremban Sessions Court after pleading guilty to throwing a drink carton in a public place. The offence took place in front of a house at Jalan Lavender Height 42, Taman Lavender Height, on 5 January.

Man dies after falling into newly dug septic tank pit in Kota Tinggi
A 48-year-old man died after falling into a 3-metre-deep septic tank pit under construction in Taman Permai, Temit, Kota Tinggi. Fire and rescue personnel from Kota Baru recovered the body; health ministry medics confirmed he had already died. The body was handed to police for further action.

St Paul's Seremban honours five hockey Olympians at centenary reunion
St Paul's Institution in Seremban held its Old Paulians' Association centenary reunion on Sept 5, where five former students who became Malaysian hockey Olympians were given legacy recognition certificates and plaques. Franco D'Cruz, 79, accepted the award for himself and for his 1972 Munich teammate Brian Sta Maria, 76, who was in hospital. Stephen Van Huizen, Gary Fidelis and Suriaghandi Suppiah were also honoured.

Amelia, Jarvis lead after second round of MGA junior golf in Melaka
Amelia Lee and Jarvis Liew Zun Xin took the lead in their respective categories after the second round of the 100PLUS MGA National Junior Development Programme golf championship at A' Famosa Golf Club in Melaka. Amelia shot a 69 to lead the girls' category, while Jarvis carded a 66 to top the boys' standings.

The announcement was made at a press conference at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman in Paroi, Seremban, before KCFC's FA Cup match against Negeri Sembilan FC. KESS chairman pledged up to RM5 million if KCFC qualifies for the Super League next season.

A man shot dead by police in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan is believed to be the mastermind of a RM2.4 billion drug processing syndicate. The syndicate used a premises in Bandar Puncak Alam, Selangor as an illegal lab, with chemicals imported from China via Port Klang.

The Undang of Sungei Ujong, Dato' Klana Petra Muhammad Faris Johari Meor Ngah, has declared that a declaration signed by the Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar to remove the state's ruler, Tuanku Muhriz, is invalid. He cited a prior ruling by the state's Dewan Keadilan dan Undang that the April 19 declaration lacked legal effect. The dispute stems from an attempt by four individuals claiming to be Undangs to install a new ruler.
