Jamil Khir arrives at Kuala Lumpur Court Complex to face RCI TH charges
Former Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex this morning to face charges linked to the Tabung Haji RCI report. His case is set to be mentioned before Sessions Court judge Rosli Ahmad at 9am. The MACC had earlier recommended three charges under Section 403 of the Penal Code.

Former minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to three charges under Section 403 of the Penal Code linked to the Tabung Haji royal commission of inquiry. He is accused of causing TH to dispose of assets worth more than RM860 million to a property development company, and was granted RM300,000 bail. Jamil Khir said he will defend himself and sees the proceedings as a chance to clear his name.

Negeri Sembilan MB silent on meeting with Zahid over Proclamation Letter
Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim refused to answer reporters' questions about his meeting with UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi last Thursday. The meeting was held after Zahid said he wanted an explanation from Ismail over claims the MB was forced to sign a Proclamation Letter to dethrone the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz. MIROS proposes regular health checks for elderly drivers
MIROS chairman Prof Dr Wong Shaw Voon suggested regular health screenings for drivers from age 40 as a condition for renewing licences. He said driving competence cannot be judged by age alone, and an age limit could create social risks for elderly drivers who remain fit. The proposal was made at MIROS headquarters in Kajang, while a driving institute operator in Segambut suggested practical training beyond 16 hours for elderly drivers.

Jamil Khir claims trial to three charges over RM860.3m in Tabung Haji funds
Former minister Jamil Khir Baharom claimed trial at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex to three charges of dishonestly causing Lembaga Tabung Haji to dispose of RM860.3 million to a Saudi-linked company. The alleged offences took place at his Putrajaya office between 2015 and 2017. Bail was set at RM300,000 with one surety, his passport surrendered, and the case fixed for mention on Nov 5.

Police: Viral Cyberjaya barrier push was done with Tamarind Square management's permission
A traffic policeman was filmed pushing open an automatic barrier at Tamarind Square in Cyberjaya while escorting the official convoy of Datuk Undang Luak Johol. Sepang police chief Norhizam Bahaman said the officer acted after the barrier failed to open and the premises management told him to push it manually, then restore it afterwards. 472 foreigners detained in Immigration raid at Lebuh Pudu
Kuala Lumpur Immigration detained 472 foreign nationals in an integrated enforcement operation at Lebuh Pudu, Kuala Lumpur today. About 2,500 foreigners were checked in the operation that began around 11am, involving nationals from Bangladesh, Myanmar, the Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan, India, China, Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia. Those detained will be placed at the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for further investigation.

Immigration raid at Lebuh Pudu nets 472 undocumented foreigners
An integrated operation at Lebuh Pudu in Kuala Lumpur today detained 472 foreigners suspected of lacking valid documents after about 2,500 people were checked. The raid also uncovered premises believed to be a prostitution centre and a clinic run by a fake doctor. All those detained were taken to the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for further action.

Motorcyclist killed after being run over by lorry on Batang Kali-Ulu Yam road
A 60-year-old motorcyclist died after being run over by a lorry on Jalan Batang Kali-Ulu Yam in Hulu Selangor at about 7pm. Kajang police hunt two men who fled check and rammed MPV

In Taman Jayamas, Seremban, a house fence wall under construction collapsed at about 3am during heavy rain, crushing three neighbours' cars parked outside the house. The vehicles involved were a Toyota Vios, a Perodua Viva and a Proton Persona, and no injuries were reported. The contractor has been informed and will rebuild the collapsed wall.

Kajang police said early investigations indicate the 37-year-old local driver is believed to have fallen asleep at the wheel, not driven drunk as claimed in a viral video. Man who robbed RM150,000 in gold in Klang arrested in Brickfields
A 28-year-old gold bar courier was robbed at a homestay in Taman Sri Andalas, Klang, on Tuesday night when the suspect fled through the back door with 70 pieces of gold worth RM150,000. Police arrested a 57-year-old man at a hotel in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, less than 24 hours later and recovered all the gold. The suspect, who has seven previous criminal records, is remanded for four days and investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code.
